STUDENT MOTIVATION oh my!
I am planning my action research on student motivation but I am faced with a dilema! Where do I start? There is a plethora of areas in student motivation that I can focus on. I am particularly interested in motivating students in the classroom so it becomes more productive and proactive. I think I narrowed it down but am still working in the final touches. As soon as I am clear with the direction of my research, I will post it and will be eager to learn what you think.

I am doing my project on student motivation as well. I understand how this can be such a huge undertaking. I think if you just take one small aspect of it, that it will help. I have a high interest in clubs, athletics, and student groups and I feel there is a strong corrolation between the success of students and their involvement in the school. Even with that, there are so many possible aspects to look at. I would talk with your site supervisor to narrow down exactly what the vision of the school is, or pick a particular aspect that has direct meaning to you. I look forward to following your blog to see the direction you decide to go. Even though I have "narrowed" mine down, I am still struggling with whether I have picked a specific-enough way to go. Could you read my blog and provide feedback? My site is at http://lorikittrell.blogspot.com

ReplyDeleteI am also focusing on motivation! I am focusing on increasing motivation of low socioeconomic learners in 3rd through 5th grade. I appreciate your feeling of overload, but I think it will be good, well worth the effort. I look forward to reading about your plan.
